Another option is the Hospeda-SP, that is located close to the university. Walking distance to the Institute will be around 20-25 min. If a Bus (inside the campus) is used the walking distance can be around 5 min. Near the university there are less options for restaurants and shopping facilities.

Transportation in SP

SP is a city well served with Bus, Metro (subway) and CPTM (train lines). Individual tickets costs R$ 4,30 one ride. More information about tickets can be found here

Closest Metro station to the University of Sao Paulo is Butanta in the yellow line. From the Metro it is still necessary to take a Bus from the Bus terminal. Two buses are available, numbers are 8022 and 8012 with destination Cid. Universitaria. You MUST drop off at the BIENIO Bus station !!!
